What is an eSIM?
A SIM card built into your phone. Instead of inserting plastic, you download a digital profile from a provider — usually by scanning a QR code or tapping a link.
Which phones support eSIM?
Most recent iPhones, Google Pixel and flagship Android devices support eSIM. Manufacturers publish device lists; check yours before buying a profile.
How does activation work?
Buy a plan, receive a QR code or activation link, open your phone's mobile settings, add the eSIM, and choose whether it handles data, calls or both.
When is an eSIM useful?
Arriving in a new country, running two numbers, or switching provider without waiting for post. It is also harder to lose than a plastic SIM.
